How it works?
The success of each posture lies in 2 secrets i.e. first balancing the gravity with antigravity and second the Balance of body on the feet should be such that the Cerebrospinal fluid remains vertically stable.
The Aim of Madhavam Yoga is to understand the root cause and try to improve to gain spine its natural position. Tingling sensation, numbness, pain, etc all these symptoms have to be reversed back so that the pressure on the vertebrae and the muscles is released. To release this pressure it is necessary to increase the space between two vertebrae, to tone up the muscles around that part and gain their natural length. If the curvature of Lumbar Spine is lost or straightened, it causes back pain. So to reduce the back ache it is necessary to bring back the natural curvature of the Spine and improve the health of whole spine. To maintain all this there are special postures in madhavam yoga to give a prolong stretch to the muscles.
In Osteoarthritis, space between medial compartment of knee is very commonly reduced, foot deformity, shortening and imbalance of muscles etc can be restored by medical yoga by different stretches to the muscles around knee joint using strapes and ropes, help in restoration of the flexibility of the joint and strengthen muscles with correction of foot to increase the stability of knee joint reducing the pain by creating a proper space between the bones.
